Overview
Default Arrangement Plan/Proepilegmeno_Plano_Diakanonison is a setting located under Financial Settings > General Settings > Arrangements Parameters, in the New Arrangement Settings sub-group.
What This Setting Does
This setting defines which arrangement plan Classter suggests by default whenever a new financial arrangement is created for a _Student_. An arrangement plan is a template that defines how a financial arrangement’s installments and terms are structured. Instead of leaving the plan blank or requiring a manual choice every time, this setting pre-fills a preferred plan.
Where It Is Used
This setting pre-fills the arrangement plan field wherever a new financial arrangement is created for a _Student_.
- Main Menu > Management > Students List > (open a _Student_) > Financial tab – the arrangement plan field on a new arrangement is pre-selected with the configured default plan.
- Main Menu > Financial > Arrangements List > Mass Arrangement Creation – the same default plan is suggested when creating arrangements for several students at once.
Business Logic / Behavior
- This is a dropdown (single-select) setting that lets an administrator pick one arrangement plan from the list of available plans to be the default.
- When a value is configured, that arrangement plan is automatically suggested every time a new arrangement is created.
- When no value is configured (default), no arrangement plan is pre-selected, and staff must choose one manually.
- Staff can still override the suggested default plan and choose a different one when creating a specific arrangement.
Example(s)
Example: at Alpha School, the majority of _Students_ are billed under a Standard 10-Month Plan that splits annual tuition of $9,000 into 10 monthly installments of $900 each. The finance administrator sets this plan as the Default Arrangement Plan, so every time a staff member creates a new arrangement, the Standard 10-Month Plan and its $900 installments are already pre-selected, saving time across the roughly 200 arrangements created each August, while still allowing a different plan (such as a 12-installment plan of $750 per month) to be chosen for exceptions.
When to Use
Use this setting when your institution has one arrangement plan that applies to the majority of new financial arrangements, and you want to reduce repetitive manual selection during arrangement creation. If your institution uses a wide variety of plans with no single common default, you may choose to leave this setting unconfigured so staff always select the plan explicitly.

This setting behaves the same regardless of whether Higher Education Mode (Enable Configuration for Higher Education/Xrisi_parametropoihshs_kolegiou) is enabled or disabled.
