#47445 There have been changes to the Relatives management page to make its use faster and more effective than before. We have added additional search filters and advanced filters to make it easier for you to narrow down searches for relatives and we have added two additional predefined views for a more effective search. These two new views are “Relatives from all periods” and “Relatives without Students”. You can use these two new views to search for relatives who belong to anyone or all academic periods as well as relatives who have not been connected/linked to students.

#47195 In the role management page, admins can now limit teachers’ privileges even more if need be. Admins can create teacher roles that do not have the right to manage assessments. So a teacher can be restricted from creating assignments. This is useful for institutions that centrally plan assignments for students. This right is turned on by default.

#45955 – #45954 From the email templates page in the advanced configuration you can create Bulk Student Messages with attached pdf files that come from your institution’s reports. The bulk messages sent to students with pdf files are then saved in the personal documents of each student recipient. So, when an admin or employee sends an internal message via the student list, they can use a template that also sends a report in pdf format. This includes acceptance and rejection letters for applicants.

#45774 There have been some adjustments to the Qualification Dropdown lists. An Is Qualification switch has been added to the 1. Certification Units/Qualification Marks dropdown list and in the 2. Certification Categories/ Qualification Levels Dropdown list. If you create a new entry in these dropdown lists and turn on the “Is Qualification switch, then in the first dropdown the entry will be a Qualification Mark, if not turned on it will be a Certification Unit. In the second dropdown list if when creating a new entity you turn on the “Is Qualification” switch then the entity will be a Qualification Level, if turned of then it will be a Certification Category.

You can now go to the Manage Classes page as an admin or employee, choose from the view menu button the predefined view “Students – Classes Overview”. In this view you can use the filters “Program”, “Main Class” and “Student” to view a list with the following columns: Code, Last Name, First Name, Gender, Main Class, Main Class with responsible Teacher, Main Class Classroom, Other Classes, Rest Classes with Responsible Teachers, Other Classes Classrooms and Enrolled Classes.

#45699 In the Academic Progress page of the Views & Statistics tab in the students form you will now find a new button called “Data Trail Log”. This new button offers the user the ability to view the history of the points acquired by the student throughout the academic year. This refers to the Pointing system implemented in educational institutions that use this function. You will be able to view negative and positive points attained and where they came from. Note: Keep in mind this is only for the specific student you are looking at.

#45599 Improvements have been made to the Classmates functionality. Previously we had added the ability for students to be able to view their classmates and for Parents to be able to view their children’s classmates from the Student and Parent Dashboard. Now we have added the additional ability for students to be able to exchange internal messages and emails with their classmates. In addition, parents are also able to contact the parents of classmates. We have created a good interconnectedness between the stakeholders of a class, for a better more rewarding class experience. Communications with Classmates and their parents is limited to students and parents from the same class. A new setting has been added to regulate the information a Parent sees regarding classmates. This setting can hide contact information or make them available. The setting is called “Show Contact Details In Classmates Form”.

#45281 There have been new additions to the teacher’s list. Specifically, we have made some changes to the management of columns and we have added some new columns as well. When you click on the columns button above the teacher’s list, you can click on the eye button to make the specific column visible or not visible in the teacher list. We have added an additional column called “Religion, this will display the religion associated with each teacher if in fact, the teacher has given us that information.

#45263 You will find some changes and additions in the configuration page of curriculums.  

  1. When creating a curriculum, the description field will be auto-filled based on the title you give to a curriculum. 
  2. When creating a curriculum, you can select am marking structure from the Annual Results dropdown list. Additionally, you can also select the new option “Create a New Annual Results Model”.   
  3. You can view curriculums and click on the Connected Programs button to view all educational programs connected to the curriculum. 
  4. When creating a new curriculum, you can fill out the information “Save” and then click on the new edit structure button on the top of the popup page. This saves time in creating a complete curriculum.  
  5. In the main grid view of curriculums, you can click on the title of each curriculum to open and edit them.

#45230 Admins and Secretaries can now change an Annual Result module even when a student has registered in a class before the change in the Annual result model has occurred in the system. This functionality is regulated by a new role privilege called “Allow educational registration changes even when it leads to new annual result model”. This privilege can be found in the privilege tab of admin roles and employee/secretary roles.

#45186 When entering medical information for a student you can enter a special warning about the students’ condition that needs to be known by all who are in contact with the student. For example, a student with allergies can have a special warning that in case of an allergy attack use EpiPen in the student’s front bag pocket. This special warning is then displayed in the student list by clicking on the medical icon next to the student in the list and in the students’ form (on the top of each tab in the student’s form). This special warning appears in the Teachers portal as well. A teacher can see the special warning in the list of students (by clicking on the medical icon next to the student in the list) and when viewing the student’s form. This special warning will appear in the quick actions search for the specific student and in the My Groups page when looking at the student’s list.

#44846 We have added a new quick link in Students, Parents and Teachers dashboard. This new link button is called “My Files” and gives quick access to personal, class, and subject-related files and documents. It is a quick and easy way to locate files you are looking for, on the classter platform. As long as the admin has enabled this via settings. Users will be able to see their files through the new quick action button. The new settings for Admins is called “Show Personal Files” and is located in the main settings. This setting is turned off by default, so if you wish to enable the function you will need to select users who can see their personal files.

#44811 On the My Subjects page, students and teachers can vow view all the available files related to subjects that can be viewed by students and teachers. The right to view subject files, documents and links depend on the role category chosen when uploading the files, documents, and links e.g view in: Students, Staff etc.  In addition to viewing files, teachers will now be able to view the Files & Links tab in the edit mode of a subject. So, when a teacher edits a subject he teaches or is a supervisor in, he/she will be able to view the new Files & Links tab and use it to upload files, documents and links for students, teachers, staff etc. depending on the view in rights he/she defines during upload.

#44703 There has been an addition made to all the basic entities Lists (Year, Stream, Subject, Class). It is a small addition, namely an extra column called “classter code”. This column will be hidden by default, but you will be able to make it visible by clicking on the manage column button on top of every list (Year, Stream, Subject, Class).  

#44152 Improvements have been made to the templates editing page of advanced configurations.  We have made the following changes on the create or edit template form in the templates editing page: 

  1. The Is Use button has been renamed to Enable for Use: This checkbox sets the template you are creating as the default template for use.  
  2. When you click on the “Create New” template button, the form will open, and the option checkbox Enable for Use will be selected by default. 
  3. The drag and drop fields pain are on the left side of the form. 
  4. If a user selects a field from the drag and drop fields in the editor box, he will see a tooltip saying, “Drag it and Drop it in your Message”. 
  5. You will see a hidden button on top of all the fields in the creation, edit templates form which if clicked on will hide the fields “Type”, “Language”, “Enable for use”, “Template Name” and “Subject”. This would leave you with only the message text box and drag and drop fields visible.

#43616 There have been some improvements to the language available for the Classter platform. The languages you will be able to see in the language button dropdown list from the user actions menu will only display the available languages that are 100% set up and ready for use. The languages that are available are defined by the main settings of the core module.
