#42365-#42367-#42368 Students will now be able to see their classmates from the Students Portal. Parents will be able to see their children’s classmates from a button located underneath the photo of their children on the Parents Portal Dashboard. Both users will be able to message classmates and view their contact information. The function to view “My classmates’ is activated by Administrators through the Main Settings and can be set to parents only or students only or even both.

#42147 – #42148 There has been a new addition in the general settings of Classter. Admins can now decide if Enrollments view is visible to parents or students on their Dashboard. The new option is in the general settings>security settings tab and it’s called “Hide Enrollments View from Parents/Students”. You can click on the checkbox next to this option to hide enrollments view.

#42744 – #42749 Teachers are now able to set their availability or unavailability for meetings directly from their dashboard. From the quick actions area on the teachers portal, teachers can click on the “Set Availability” button and enter the hours and days they are available or unavailable for meetings (they can define the types of meetings they are available for).

#41648 – #41649 When creating sessions from the timetable you can now view additional filters in your search to help you when auto-creating sessions for teachers. The additional filters are Classes, Teachers, and classrooms. The user interface for the creation of sessions via timetable has also changed to a more user-friendly view, were you can use time filters e.g 30min to zoom in to the timetable. These additions can be viewed by Employees and Admins.

You have all the functionality of the students list on the dashboard. You can view students per class or program quicker than before.

  1. The filters section now contains filtering based on Curriculums.

#40729 – #40730 – #41315 The institutions secretary is now given the ability to add student’s to assessments which do not belong to the student’s specific class/group. This is new as assessments are traditionally assigned to groups/classes of students taking a specific subject. As long as the individual student who is to be added has the same subject enrolled to him, he may be assigned an assessment he would not normally have. 

Secretary/Employee Portal: Dashboard>Management>Academic Tasks>Assessments>Assessment Scheduling>Search for assignments/assessments>Select Assessment/Assignment and from the Actions button>Click on Add Student button.

  • We have added custom dropdown filters that appear to further filter specific types of demographic data. For example, if you choose Religion in from the Type dropdown, you will see another dropdown filter appear called “Religion” where you can choose a specific religion such as Muslim or Christian Orthodox.

#40400 – #40491 – #40492 There is a new Students Per Admission Data view in the Students list where you can look for submitted and unsubmitted student admission documents. You have the following filters to help you look for admissions document and consents: 

  1. Document dropdown: to select a specific type of document to look for e.g Passport Copy. 
  1. Grade/Year dropdown: to specify the grade/year the student you want belongs too e.g Year 1. 
  1. Student Filter: enter the first three letters of the student name and you will be able to select that student. Students available in the filter are from the Grade/Year you selected previously. 
  1. Status filter: you have the option to select the status of the documentation you are looking for e.g Submitted or Not Submitted.  

Once You click on search you would see the status of the specific admissions document for a specific student from a specific year e.g Passport Copy for John Grixti from grade/year 1 not submitted.

#41554 – #41051 – #41203 – #41052 – #41053 – #41169 – #41054 – #41167 The Parents portal has been updated to Parents/Guardians portal. Parents/Guardians as well as Agents representing students will have access to the Parents Portal. The users who have access to the Parents/Guardians portal will now be able to see an additional button under the photos of their children. This button is called “View Children Details” and will allow the user to view information regarding their children e.g Full Name, ID Number, Birthday, Year/Grade, Program etc. A setting has been added to security setting, the setting is called “Parents Portal – Hide a Student from a parent if the Academic Contact option is not checked”, this will forbid the parent/guardian/agent from seeing information regarding children if they are not the academic contact of the children. 

Parents/Guardians/Agents Portal: Dashboard>Click on View Children’s Details button. 

Admin Portal: Dashboard>Configuration>Main Settings>General Settings>Security Settings Tab>Rights section> Parents Portal  Click on “Hide a Student from a parent if the Academic Contact option is not checked” checkbox. 

 

#39513 – #39294 When setting up your institution inevitably you will need to setup the General Settings for the institution (Admin Portal). These settings once saved on one academic period will be applied to all other academic periods. The same goes if you have multiple institutions.
