When this setting is enabled, the screens that change the status of an Internship or Thesis enrollment ask the user for an Effective Date - the date on which the change actually took effect. That date, rather than the date the user happened to click the button, is what Classter records as the status date and what it uses to set the enrollment's actual start and end dates.
