Import Students with Pricing Categories

Overview 

In Classter, the Students Import tool now supports Pricing Categories. This feature works in such a way that during Students Import operation, the system checks if the pricing category in the uploaded Excel file is enabled for the specific program, ensuring accurate data verification. 

Note: Make sure you have enabled the Pricing Categories option. 

Financial Settings > General Settings > Price Lists, Fees & Taxes > Mark Use Pricing Categories checkbox.

 

Also, make sure that the values present in your Excel file Fields such as Institue, Year, Program, Registration Status, Pricing Category, are already registered in Classter.


How to Use Pricing Category Feature in Program Import?
 

Here’s the sample Excel file.

 

To import the Students data: Advanced Configurations > Mass Imports / actions > Import Students option.


Click on Choose File button to select an Excel file to import.

 

And upload it from your system.

 

  1. Choose the required Sheet. 
  2. Enable or Disable the First row contains column names toggle. 
  3. Enable Add or transfer education programs for existing Students toggle. 
  4. Turn on Use Async Upload toggle. 
  5. Click Edit Fields Order.

 

Select an existing Layout from dropdown. Or click New and define a new Layout.

 

Specify values for these Mandatory Fields according to the Excel file fields: First Name, Last Name, Location, Year, Program, and Education Programs: Registration Status. 

Note: Your Excel File Fields/Columns should be in the same order as listed in the mandatory fields.


To import the Pricing Category from uploaded Excel file, move to
Optional Fields > Educational Programs: Pricing Category > Excel Values > Pricing Category.

 

Click Import Data.

 

As a result, you will see a notification regarding the successful data import operation.
