This setting lets you choose the Absence Category that Classter pre-fills by default whenever a student is marked absent for a subject in which their Subject Status entry has the "Attendance Exclusion" property set to "Attendance Semi-Exemption (Student Is In List But Marked Red)". Students in this state are also highlighted in red in the attendance-taking grid, so teachers can recognize them at a glance.
