Overview
Enable quick online payments [Open form]/Enable_Quick_Online_Payments_Open_Form is located in Financial Settings > General Settings > e-Payments > Quick Online Payments [Open Form]. It turns on a public payment form that allows payments without requiring the payer to log in to the system.
What This Setting Does
When enabled, Classter creates a dedicated payment form that anyone with the link can use to pay a free (open) amount, without needing a portal login. This is useful for accepting one-off payments from people who may not have, or want to use, portal credentials.
Where It Is Used
This setting controls a public, link-based payment form that does not appear in the main application menu, since it is meant to be reached without logging in.
- Once enabled, the public quick payment link becomes active; opening that link takes the payer directly to the open payment form, bypassing the normal sign-in screen.
- Main Menu > Financial: on the _Student_ and _Parent_ Financial screen, this setting (together with a related setting that controls showing the link) determines whether a copyable Quick online payment link is displayed for the user to share.
Business Logic / Behavior
- This is a simple on/off toggle (checkbox).
- When enabled, Classter creates a payment form where users can pay a free amount without needing to log in to the system.
- The actual link for this form only becomes active/usable once this setting is turned on; quick online payments must be enabled first for the link to be created.
Example(s)
Β Institute Alfa wants to allow occasional donors and guardians without portal accounts to make a one-time payment of any amount, such as a $100 donation or a $75 field-trip fee, quickly. The administrator enables Enable quick online payments [Open form], which activates a public payment form that can then be linked from the institute’s website; a visitor can now type in the $100 amount themselves and pay it without ever logging in.
When to Use
When to Enable
Enable this setting when the institution wants to accept payments from people who do not have portal login access, or wants a simple public link for ad hoc or open-amount payments.
When to Disable
Disable this setting if all payments should go through the standard, authenticated student/parents portal or mobile app flow, without a public open-form option.

- Prerequisites: Enable online payments/Use_Online_Payments should generally be turned on as the overall online payments gate; this setting specifically activates the open-form/quick payment channel.
