Overview

Display quick online payment link in the Student/parents portal/OP_Display_Quick_Online_Payment_Link_In_The_Students_Parents_Portal is located in Financial Settings > General Settings > e-Payments > Quick Online Payments [Open Form]. It controls whether the quick payment link also appears inside the authenticated student/parents portal, not just as a standalone public link.

What This Setting Does

When enabled, and provided quick payments are active, this setting makes the quick online payment link visible to _Students_ and parents directly within the financial section of their portal, giving them an additional, convenient way to reach the quick payment form without needing the separate public link.

Where It Is Used

This setting is used on the main Financial screen that _Students_ and parents see after logging into the portal.

• Menu path: Financial. This screen shows the _Student_’s balances, installments, and payment history; when this setting is turned on (and quick payments are active), a quick online payment link also appears there for the logged-in _Student_ or parent to use.

Business Logic / Behavior

• This is a simple on/off toggle (checkbox).
• When enabled, and if quick payments are active, the quick online payment link is available to _Students_ and parents within the financial form.
• If quick online payments are not enabled overall, this setting has no visible effect even if turned on.

Example(s)

Academy Alfa has set up the quick payment link mainly for external sharing, but also wants existing parents to conveniently find it while browsing the portal. The administrator enables Display quick online payment link in the Student/parents portal so a parent who logs in to pay a $180 balance now also sees the quick payment link right on the Financial screen, instead of needing the separate public URL shared on the school’s website.

When to Use

When to Enable

Enable this setting when the institution wants _Students_ and parents who are already logged into the portal to also have easy access to the quick payment link, in addition to anyone using the public link externally.

When to Disable

Disable this setting if the quick payment link should remain accessible only through the dedicated public link shared outside the portal, and not be surfaced inside the authenticated portal experience.

• Prerequisites: Enable quick online payments [Open form]/Enable_Quick_Online_Payments_Open_Form must be turned on for this setting to have any effect.

K-12 vs Higher Education: This setting behaves the same regardless of whether Higher Education Mode (Enable Configuration for Higher Education/Xrisi_parametropoihshs_kolegiou) is enabled or disabled.
