This setting defines which view is pre-selected when Parents and Students open the Classwork / Homework page: either the latest record per Subject, or a specific-dates view based on the "From Date"/"To date" filters. At Alpha Institute, with the setting set to "Last record per Subject", the Student's Classwork / Homework page loads with that view already selected, showing the latest entry per Subject:
