This setting defines the default template used for the notifications that are sent to Students (and their Parents) by assessment marking. Its options list only templates authored for assessment-notification use; no template is selected by default. The selected template shapes the wording of the internal message a Student/Parent receives whenever a Teacher uses "Save and Send Message" in the assessment Marking screen.
