This setting controls whether a new Assessment or Assignment must be scheduled against a fixed timetable period, or whether the end user can pick any start and end time freely. In the Teacher's or Administrator's portal, open Academic Tasks / Assessments / Assessment Scheduling and click Create New / New Assessment/Exam. The Time/Hours section of the form is affected by this setting.
