Overview
Give dynamic pledge amount vouchers, for every agreed discount having start date later than the Academic Period’s End Date/Give_Dinamic_Pledge_Ammount_Vouchers_For_Every_Agreed_Discount_Having_Start_Date_Later_Of_Academic_Periods_End_Date is a setting located in Financial Settings > General Settings > Reductions, Discounts & Loans, under the Vouchers sub-group. It controls whether Classter issues a voucher with a dynamically calculated amount when an agreed discount’s start date falls after the end of the academic period.
What This Setting Does
This setting handles a timing edge case for pledge discounts: when a discount has been agreed for a _Student_, but its start date is later than the end date of the relevant academic period, the discount can no longer be applied directly within that period. When this setting is enabled, Classter instead issues a voucher for a dynamically calculated pledge amount, so the value of the agreed discount is not lost and can still be honored through the voucher.
Where It Is Used
This setting is applied automatically in the background when Classter evaluates an agreed discount’s start date against the academic period’s end date, rather than through a visible screen action.
- Main Menu > Configuration > Main Settings > Financial Settings > General Settings > Reductions, Discounts and Loans tab > Vouchers section – this is where the setting itself is turned on or off.
- Main Menu > Student’s record > Financial tab > Vouchers grid – the dynamic pledge amount voucher generated by this setting appears here once issued.
Business Logic / Behavior
- This is an on/off (checkbox) setting.
- When enabled, Classter gives a dynamic pledge amount voucher for every agreed discount whose start date is later than the academic period’s end date.
- When disabled, discounts with a start date beyond the academic period’s end date are not automatically converted into a voucher; they may instead go unapplied or require manual handling.
- The voucher amount is dynamic: it is calculated automatically by Classter based on the specifics of the agreed discount, rather than being a fixed, pre-set amount.
Example(s)
Alpha Institute’s current academic period ends on June 30, 2026. On May 20, 2026, the school agrees to give _Student_ Alex D. a $1,400 discount scheduled to start on August 15, 2026 – a start date that falls after the June 30, 2026 period end date. With this setting enabled, Classter automatically issues Alex D. a voucher for a dynamically calculated pledge amount of $1,400 (matching the agreed discount), ensuring the discount’s value carries forward even though its August 15, 2026 start date falls outside the academic period that ends June 30, 2026. If this setting were disabled instead, the $1,400 discount would not be automatically converted into a voucher and would require manual handling once August 15, 2026 arrives.
When to Use
This setting matters for institutions that agree discounts with future start dates that may fall outside the boundaries of the current academic period.
When to Enable
Enable this setting if your institution wants agreed discounts with a late start date to be automatically preserved as a voucher, so the _Student_ still benefits from the discount’s value through the voucher mechanism.
When to Disable
Keep this setting disabled if your institution prefers to manually manage or review discounts whose start date falls after the academic period’s end date, rather than having Classter automatically generate a voucher for them.
Notes
Prerequisites: pledge management and a configured voucher type for pledge discounts (Voucher_Type_For_Pledge_Discounts) are expected to be in place, since this setting generates vouchers of that pledge discount type.

This setting behaves the same regardless of whether Higher Education Mode (Enable Configuration for Higher Education/Xrisi_parametropoihshs_kolegiou) is enabled or disabled.
