Overview
This setting (Educational_Programs_With_Indication2_Enabled_For_Automated_Enrollment_Of_Group_Subjects) is located in Main Settings > General Settings > Student Form Registration, under the Automated Groups/Subjects enrollments group.
What This Setting Does
This setting limits the automated _Group_/_Subject_ enrollment process to _Students_ whose educational program has one of the selected values in its custom Indication 2 classification field. Educational programs whose Indication 2 value is not selected here are skipped by the automated process. Indication 2 is a separate classification field from Indication 1, so both can be used together for finer control.
Where It Is Used
This setting runs automatically in the background with no dedicated screen. It is evaluated every time the automated enrollment process runs, triggered when a _Student_’s educational program is created or changed on Main Menu > Management > Students > Students List > [click a _Student_] > Edit form > Educational Program / School Registrations tab.
Business Logic / Behavior
- This is a multi-select setting; the list of Indication 2 values is configured elsewhere and selected here.
- When one or more values are selected, the automated enrollment process only runs for educational programs whose Indication 2 matches one of the selected values.
- If the list is left empty, no Indication 2 filtering is applied and the automated process is not restricted by this field.
- This setting only has an effect when the master switch, Enable the automated enrollment of Students to Groups/Subjects upon education program creation or change, is enabled.
Example(s)
At Alpha Institute, the Indication 2 field on the educational program is used to mark programs as either Domestic or International. Administrator Hugo selects only International in this setting. When _Student_ Wei Z.’s educational program has Indication 2 set to International, the automated enrollment process runs for him. When _Student_ Carla M.’s educational program has Indication 2 set to Domestic, the automated process is skipped for her.
When to Use
Use this setting when the institution has configured the custom Indication 2 field on educational programs and wants automated enrollment to apply only to certain classifications recorded in it. Leave the list empty if the automated process should run regardless of the Indication 2 value.
Notes
Prerequisite: this setting only takes effect when Enable_Automated_Enrollment_Of_Students_To_Groups_Subjects_On_Education_Program_Change is enabled, and it depends on the educational program’s Indication 2 custom field being in use.

K-12 vs Higher Education: this setting behaves the same regardless of whether Higher Education Mode (Enable Configuration for Higher Education/Xrisi_parametropoihshs_kolegiou) is enabled or disabled.
