Overview

Readjust arrangement when a _Student_’s service is deleted or terminated/Anaprosarmogi_Diakanonismou_se_pausi_drastiriotitas is a setting located under Financial Settings > General Settings > Arrangements Parameters, in the Arrangement Modifications sub-group.

What This Setting Does

This setting controls whether Classter automatically readjusts a Student’s financial Arrangement when one of the Student’s enrolled activities or services is deleted or terminated (paused/stopped). When enabled, Classter recalculates the Arrangement to reflect the fact that the Student is no longer receiving that activity or service, instead of leaving the original billing plan unchanged.

Where It Is Used

The readjustment logic runs automatically in the backend whenever a Student’s activity or service is stopped. It affects:

  • Main Menu > Financial > Arrangements List – the Arrangement connected to the terminated activity or service is the one that gets automatically readjusted, so its updated billing plan is visible here afterward.
  • Student profile activity/service screens where an Educator, activity, or transportation service is stopped for a Student – this is the action that triggers the automatic readjustment.

Business Logic / Behavior

  • When enabled, terminating or deleting a Student’s activity/service automatically triggers a readjustment of the connected financial Arrangement.
  • The readjustment updates the billing plan to remove or reduce charges tied to the discontinued activity or service, keeping the Arrangement consistent with the Student’s actual enrollment.
  • When disabled, the Arrangement is left as-is after an activity or service is terminated, requiring manual adjustment by staff if the billing should change.
  • This setting’s default behavior in the system is enabled (True) out of the box, based on the underlying configuration.

Example(s)

At Alpha Institute, a Student named Mia T. is enrolled in an after-school music program billed at $80 per month through her financial Arrangement, running from September through June (10 installments, $800 total). On January 15, Mia’s family cancels the music program with 5 months (January through May, worth $400) still unbilled. With this setting enabled, Classter automatically readjusts Mia’s Arrangement to remove the remaining $400 in charges for those 5 months, reducing her total Arrangement from $800 to $400, without a staff member needing to manually edit the billing plan.

When to Use

This setting matters whenever activities or services tied to financial Arrangements can be stopped or removed mid-term or mid-year, and the institution wants billing to automatically reflect that change.

When to Enable

Enable this so that Classter automatically keeps Arrangements in sync with actual service usage whenever an activity or service is terminated, reducing manual financial corrections.

When to Disable

Disable this if the institution prefers to manually review and adjust Arrangements after a service is terminated, for example to apply custom refund or proration rules rather than an automatic recalculation.

Notes

No prerequisites are required for this setting; it operates independently whenever an activity or service is terminated.

  • Delete arrangement when the selected user types terminate/stop a service (Delete_Arrangement_When_User_Stops_Service in Financial Settings > General Settings > Arrangements Parameters > Arrangement Modifications)
  • Check for lack of installments with financial transactions before saving the selected arrangement plan (Elegxos_Gia_Elipsi_Minon_Me_Oikonomiki_Kinisi_Kata_Tin_Apothikeusi_Diakanonismou in Financial Settings > General Settings > Arrangements Parameters > Arrangement Modifications)

This setting behaves the same regardless of whether Higher Education Mode (Enable Configuration for Higher Education/Xrisi_parametropoihshs_kolegiou) is enabled or disabled.
