Institutions can now set default payers for Student arrangements, and Classter automatically inherits them in new plans. When users enable “Payer Per Installment“, the system calculates installment amounts based on the configured payers, allowing precise allocation of percentages. This update provides enhanced flexibility and accuracy for financial arrangements.
Managing Default Payers and Installment Calculations
Set Default Payers
To enable the option for users to define multiple default payers for Students, navigate to: Admission > Admission Settings > Financial & Payment Settings > Payer Selection Settings and configure these dropdown menus:
- Allow end users to select multiple payers per arrangement
- Allow end users to select “default” multiple payers for use in future arrangements.
Note: Default payers, along with percentages, are automatically inherited into every new financial arrangement.
Configure Payers Per Installment
Enable “Payer Per Installment” to calculate amounts based on payers at the installment level. For this, go to: Financial Settings > Dropdown lists > Arrangement Plan > Edit > Configure payer type per installment.
Validations
Moreover, ensure Payer Types are selected for each installment or arrangement.
Click Edit and verify percentages for payers do not exceed 100% for each type within their respective installments.
Default Payer Settings
To configure the default payer for a Student, navigate to: Students > Students List > Edit > Financial > Default Payers > Payer > Add.
