What is An Arrangement? How Can I Modify it?

Updated on May 12, 2022

An arrangement is directly connected to your educational institutions’ finances. It mainly refers to the financial agreement between you and your client in order to use your services. In Classter, it resembles the marking scenario, only for the Billing Module.

An arrangement can be created between the two parties (school/college-client), containing a total price for the whole year, or semester, month etc. It is most common for the price to be agreed on a yearly basis. In Classter, there is a major difference between the Arrangement Plan and the Arrangement Billing Plan.

  • An Arrangement Plan is an agreement between the client and the educational institute for the amount to be paid from the client to the institute to use one or more of its provided services (e.g. 3.000 EUR per year). Within the price, various entities may be included, such as:
  • Following a study program (e.g. Year 6 in elementary school, BSc in Computer Engineering etc.)
  • Register in extra curriculum classes (e.g. English classes, Business classes etc.)
  • Register in activities (e.g. Sports, Music etc.)
  • Using services (e.g. Transportation, Accommodation etc.)
  • Once the two parties agree on the amount to be paid, they define the instalments, i.e. the periods of time within which the client will get invoiced and pay e.g. one time per year, each semester, every month etc. This is the Arrangement Billing Plan. Pay special attention here, as a payment receipt differs from an invoice. Meaning that a client can pay monthly and receive a payment receipt, but the school will produce an invoice once per year, as it was defined in the agreement.

Classter enables you to view all your arrangements in a list. You may also see each arrangement agreement per student.

To modify the settings for your arrangements in Classter, you must enter the Classter Portal as an Admin.

Let‘s take a short ride.

From the configuration menu, click on Financial Settings → General Settings. (Figure 1)

As you can see, in financial settings, you can manage your transactions, arrangements, reports and much more. When you want to specifically change your arrangement settings, on the general settings menu, click on Arrangements Parameters. (Figure 2)
