What This Setting Does
This setting defines the label text that appears next to the logo on a benefits card when it is added to Apple Wallet from the Classter mobile app. It is used specifically for benefits cards, as opposed to a person’s regular personal card.
Where It Is Used
This setting has no dedicated configuration screen; the text entered here is applied automatically whenever a student, teacher, or parent/partner adds their benefits card to Apple Wallet from the mobile app.
Business Logic / Behavior
- This text is used only for benefits cards added to Apple Wallet; personal cards use a separate logo text setting.
- If this setting is left blank, Apple Wallet displays the institution’s name next to the logo instead, provided the institution name property is enabled in the Card data page properties setting.
- This setting only affects Apple Wallet; the equivalent label for Google Wallet is configured separately.
Example(s)
Alpha Institute issues benefits cards for its meal plan program and wants the Apple Wallet card to clearly say “Alpha Institute Meal Plan” next to the logo. The administrator opens this setting and enters that text.
After saving, when parent Angela F. adds her son’s benefits card to Apple Wallet, the wallet card now displays “Alpha Institute Meal Plan” next to the school logo, instead of the school’s plain name.
When to Use
Use this setting when you want the Apple Wallet benefits card to carry a specific label rather than defaulting to the institution’s name.
