Overview
Display label: Card logo URL for Android Wallet
Setting ID: CardLogoUrlForAndroid
Location: Main Settings > General Settings > Mobile App > Google Wallet
What This Setting Does
This setting defines the web address of the logo image that appears on a card when it is added to Google Wallet from the Classter mobile app. It lets the institution brand the Google Wallet card with its own logo instead of a generic image.
Where It Is Used
This setting has no dedicated configuration screen; the logo referenced here is applied automatically whenever a student, teacher, or parent/partner adds their card to Google Wallet from the mobile app, for both their personal card and their benefits card.
Business Logic / Behavior
- The value is a web address pointing to an image file.
- The image at this address is used as the logo on any card added to Google Wallet, regardless of whether it is a personal card or a benefits card.
- This setting only affects Google Wallet; the logo used for Apple Wallet is configured separately.
- If left blank, Google Wallet cards are generated without a custom institution logo.
Example(s)
Alpha Institute wants the same crest used on Apple Wallet to also appear on Google Wallet cards issued to its community. The administrator opens this setting and enters the web address of the crest image.
After saving, when teacher Daniel O. adds his Classter card to Google Wallet on his Android phone, the resulting wallet card displays Alpha Institute’s crest as its logo.
When to Use
Use this setting when you want cards added to Google Wallet to display your institution’s own logo rather than a default image.
Notes
Prerequisites: the logo image must be hosted at a publicly accessible web address.
