Overview
This setting (Automated_Enrollments_Include_Only_Groups_Having_A_Section_Connected_To_The_Following_Specific_Zones) is located in Main Settings > General Settings > Student Form Registration, under the Automated Groups/Subjects enrollments group.
What This Setting Does
This setting limits the automated _Group_/_Subject_ enrollment process to _Groups_ whose Section is connected to one of the selected Timetable Zones, for the currently active Academic Period. _Groups_ connected to a different Zone are excluded from the automated matching.
Where It Is Used
This setting runs automatically in the background with no dedicated screen. It is evaluated every time the automated enrollment process runs, triggered when a _Student_’s educational program is created or changed on Main Menu > Management > Students > Students List > [click a _Student_] > Edit form > Educational Program / School Registrations tab.
Business Logic / Behavior
- This is a multi-select setting; the list of Timetable Zones is configured elsewhere, per Academic Period, and selected here.
- When one or more Zones are selected, the automated enrollment process only considers _Groups_ whose Section is connected to one of those Zones.
- If the list is left empty, no Zone filtering is applied and the automated process is not restricted by this criterion.
- This setting only has an effect when the master switch, Enable the automated enrollment of Students to Groups/Subjects upon education program creation or change, is enabled.
Example(s)
At Alpha Institute, the North Campus and South Campus Zones exist for the 2026-2027 Academic Period. Administrator Iris selects only North Campus in this setting. When _Student_ Leo F.’s educational program is created, the automated enrollment process only considers _Groups_ whose Section is connected to the North Campus Zone, and excludes any otherwise matching _Group_ connected to the South Campus Zone.
When to Use
Use this setting when the institution wants automated enrollment restricted to _Groups_ belonging to specific campuses or Zones, for example to keep automatic enrollment confined to a particular site. Leave the list empty if the automated process should consider _Groups_ from every Zone.
Notes
Prerequisite: this setting only takes effect when Enable_Automated_Enrollment_Of_Students_To_Groups_Subjects_On_Education_Program_Change is enabled.

K-12 vs Higher Education: this setting behaves the same regardless of whether Higher Education Mode (Enable Configuration for Higher Education/Xrisi_parametropoihshs_kolegiou) is enabled or disabled.
