Overview
This setting (Automatically_Enroll_Students_To_Subjects_Of_Each_Group) is located in Main Settings > General Settings > Student Form Registration, under the Automated Groups/Subjects enrollments group.
What This Setting Does
Once the automated process has enrolled a _Student_ into a _Group_, this setting decides whether Classter should also automatically enroll the _Student_ into the _Subjects_ taught in that _Group_: always, never, or only when the _Subject_ is part of the _Student_’s curriculum or _Grade_/Stream.
Where It Is Used
This setting runs automatically in the background with no dedicated screen. It is evaluated every time the automated enrollment process runs, triggered when a _Student_’s educational program is created or changed on Main Menu > Management > Students > Students List > [click a _Student_] > Edit form > Educational Program / School Registrations tab.
Business Logic / Behavior
- This is a single-select setting with three options. The default is Yes.
- Yes: after a _Student_ is enrolled into a _Group_, Classter automatically enrolls them into all _Subjects_ taught in that _Group_.
- No: Classter does not automatically enroll the _Student_ into any _Subjects_ of the _Group_; only the _Group_ enrollment itself is created.
- Only if part of the Curriculum or Grade/Stream: Classter only automatically enrolls the _Student_ into a _Group_’s _Subject_ if that _Subject_ is also part of the _Student_’s curriculum or _Grade_/Stream.
Example(s)
At Alpha Institute, the Grade 10 Chemistry _Group_ teaches both the core Chemistry _Subject_ and an optional Lab Techniques _Subject_ that is not part of the standard Grade 10 curriculum. Administrator Grace sets this setting to Only if part of the Curriculum or Grade/Stream. When _Student_ Mia A., whose curriculum only includes core Chemistry, is automatically enrolled into the Grade 10 Chemistry _Group_, Classter also automatically enrolls her into the core Chemistry _Subject_, but not into Lab Techniques, since that _Subject_ is not part of her curriculum.
When to Use
Use Yes when every _Subject_ taught in a matched _Group_ should always be automatically added to the _Student_’s enrollment. Use No when _Group_ enrollment and _Subject_ enrollment should be handled as fully separate steps. Use Only if part of the Curriculum or Grade/Stream when the institution wants automatic _Subject_ enrollment to respect each _Student_’s specific curriculum or _Grade_/Stream, avoiding enrollment into optional or unrelated _Subjects_ taught in the same _Group_.
Notes
Prerequisite: this setting only takes effect when Enable_Automated_Enrollment_Of_Students_To_Groups_Subjects_On_Education_Program_Change is enabled, and it depends on a _Group_ enrollment first having been created by the automated process.

K-12 vs Higher Education: this setting behaves the same regardless of whether Higher Education Mode (Enable Configuration for Higher Education/Xrisi_parametropoihshs_kolegiou) is enabled or disabled.
