Overview
The Enable Disable Reregistration additional properties setting (Enable_DisableReregistrationFlag_Additional_Properties) is located in Main Settings > General Settings > Student Form Registration, under the Drop Off Indicator & Disable Reregistration Settings group.
What This Setting Does
This setting chooses which extra pieces of information are captured together with the Disable Reregistration indicator on a _Student_’s educational program record. The available options are Effect Date and Reason. Whichever options are selected here become available (and are captured) on every educational program record where the Disable Reregistration indicator has a value.
Where It Is Used
Main Menu > Management > Students > Students List > [click a _Student_] > Edit form > Educational Program / School Registrations tab (Add/Edit School Registration) – the selected additional fields appear next to the Disable Reregistration indicator on each educational program entry. This setting is also read on the Main Menu > Financial > Mass Billing screen.
Business Logic / Behavior
- This is a multi-select setting with two possible options: Effect Date and Reason.
- If Effect Date is selected, staff can record the date from which the Disable Reregistration flag takes effect.
- If Reason is selected, staff can record a reason explaining why the flag was set.
- Both options can be selected together, only one can be selected, or the list can be left empty so that no additional fields appear.
- This setting has no effect unless Enable Disable Reregistration flag is also enabled.
Example(s)
At Alpha Institute, administrator Helen enables Enable Disable Reregistration flag and selects both Effect Date and Reason in the Enable Disable Reregistration additional properties setting. When staff member Peter sets the Disable Reregistration indicator on _Student_ Nora B.’s Business Administration enrollment, the Educational Program tab now shows an Effect Date field, where Peter enters 01/09/2026, and a Reason field, where he enters ‘Transferred to partner institution’.
When to Use
Use this setting to decide how much supporting detail staff must capture whenever the Disable Reregistration indicator is used. Select Effect Date if the institution needs to know exactly when the non-renewal takes effect, and select Reason if the institution wants to keep a record of why the enrollment was flagged. Leave both options unselected if no additional detail is required beyond the flag itself.

Prerequisite: Enable Disable Reregistration flag (Enable_DisableReregistrationFlag in Student Form Registration > Drop Off Indicator & Disable Reregistration Settings) must be enabled for this setting to have any effect.

- Related settings: Make the comment required, when the user set a value for a custom educational program properties of the following selections (Educational_Program_Required_Comments_For in Student Form Registration > Drop Off Indicator & Disable Reregistration Settings).
K-12 vs Higher Education: this setting behaves the same regardless of whether Higher Education Mode (Enable Configuration for Higher Education/Xrisi_parametropoihshs_kolegiou) is enabled or disabled.
