Overview
This setting (Grade_Types_Enabled_For_Automated_Enrollment_Of_Group_Subjects) is located in Main Settings > General Settings > Student Form Registration, under the Automated Groups/Subjects enrollments group.
What This Setting Does
This setting limits the automated _Group_/_Subject_ enrollment process to _Students_ whose educational program _Grade_ has one of the selected Grade Types. _Grades_ whose Grade Type is not selected here are skipped by the automated process.
Where It Is Used
This setting runs automatically in the background with no dedicated screen. It is evaluated every time the automated enrollment process runs, triggered when a _Student_’s educational program is created or changed on Main Menu > Management > Students > Students List > [click a _Student_] > Edit form > Educational Program / School Registrations tab.
Business Logic / Behavior
- This is a multi-select setting; the list of Grade Types is configured elsewhere and selected here.
- When one or more Grade Types are selected, the automated enrollment process only runs for _Students_ whose _Grade_ has one of those Grade Types.
- If the list is left empty, no Grade Type filtering is applied and the automated process is not restricted by Grade Type.
- This setting only has an effect when the master switch, Enable the automated enrollment of Students to Groups/Subjects upon education program creation or change, is enabled.
Example(s)
At Alpha Institute, _Grades_ are classified into Grade Types Primary and Secondary. Administrator Felix selects only Secondary in this setting. When _Student_ Ivy S.’s educational program in Grade 8, a Secondary _Grade_, is created, the automated enrollment process runs and enrolls her into her matching _Groups_ and _Subjects_. When _Student_ Max T.’s educational program in Grade 3, a Primary _Grade_, is created on the same day, the automated process is skipped for him because Primary is not selected.
When to Use
Use this setting when automated _Group_/_Subject_ enrollment should only apply to certain categories of _Grades_, for example only Secondary _Grades_, while Primary _Grades_ continue to be enrolled manually. Leave the list empty if the automated process should run for all Grade Types.

Prerequisite: this setting only takes effect when Enable_Automated_Enrollment_Of_Students_To_Groups_Subjects_On_Education_Program_Change is enabled.

K-12 vs Higher Education: this setting behaves the same regardless of whether Higher Education Mode (Enable Configuration for Higher Education/Xrisi_parametropoihshs_kolegiou) is enabled or disabled.
