Overview
This setting (Group_Types_Enabled_For_Automated_Enrollment_Of_Group_Subjects) is located in Main Settings > General Settings > Student Form Registration, under the Automated Groups/Subjects enrollments group.
What This Setting Does
This setting limits the automated _Group_/_Subject_ enrollment process to _Groups_ of the selected Group Types. _Groups_ whose type is not selected here are excluded from the automated matching, even if they otherwise match the _Student_’s educational program.
Where It Is Used
This setting runs automatically in the background with no dedicated screen. It is evaluated every time the automated enrollment process runs, triggered when a _Student_’s educational program is created or changed on Main Menu > Management > Students > Students List > [click a _Student_] > Edit form > Educational Program / School Registrations tab.
Business Logic / Behavior
- This is a multi-select setting; the list of Group Types is configured elsewhere and selected here.
- When one or more Group Types are selected, the automated enrollment process only considers _Groups_ of those types.
- If the list is left empty, no Group Type filtering is applied and the automated process is not restricted by Group Type.
- This setting only has an effect when the master switch, Enable the automated enrollment of Students to Groups/Subjects upon education program creation or change, is enabled.
Example(s)
At Alpha Institute, _Groups_ are classified into types Core and Extracurricular. Administrator Alina selects only Core in this setting. When _Student_ Jonah R.’s educational program is created, the automated enrollment process only considers Core-type _Groups_, such as the Grade 9 Mathematics _Group_, for automatic enrollment, and ignores Extracurricular-type _Groups_, such as the Chess Club _Group_, even if Jonah would otherwise match them.
When to Use
Use this setting when automated enrollment should only apply to certain kinds of _Groups_, such as core academic _Groups_, while other kinds of _Groups_, such as extracurricular or elective _Groups_, are always enrolled manually. Leave the list empty if the automated process should consider _Groups_ of every type.

Prerequisite: this setting only takes effect when Enable_Automated_Enrollment_Of_Students_To_Groups_Subjects_On_Education_Program_Change is enabled.

K-12 vs Higher Education: this setting behaves the same regardless of whether Higher Education Mode (Enable Configuration for Higher Education/Xrisi_parametropoihshs_kolegiou) is enabled or disabled.
