What This Setting Does
This setting controls which view tabs – List Entries, Weekly Analysis, and Calendar View – are available to Students and Parents when they open the _Attendance & Progress_ form in the portal.
Where It Is Used
Portal > Attendance (the Student/Parent attendance view). This setting controls which tabs are shown across the top of that screen.
Business Logic / Behavior
- This is a multi-select setting covering three views: List Entries, Weekly Analysis, and Calendar View. All three are enabled by default.
- Only the views selected here appear as tabs to Students and Parents; any view not selected is hidden.
- The Weekly Analysis tab additionally requires the institution’s attendance recording method to be set to Timetable, Subjects, or Per Session; if the recording method does not match, the Weekly Analysis tab stays hidden even when selected here.
- List Entries and Calendar View have no such extra dependency and appear whenever they are selected.
Example(s)
Alpha Institute wants to keep the attendance screen simple for Parents, so the administrator selects only List Entries and Calendar View, leaving Weekly Analysis unselected. When parent Maria D. opens the attendance screen for her son, she sees a List Entries tab and a Calendar View tab, but no Weekly Analysis tab, even though the institution records attendance per _Subject_ session.
When to Use
Use this setting to simplify or expand the attendance form shown to Students and Parents – for example limiting it to List Entries only for a straightforward log, or enabling all three views for institutions that want richer visual breakdowns of attendance.

Prerequisites: the Weekly Analysis view additionally requires the institution’s attendance recording method to be Timetable, Subjects, or Per Session.
