Turnitin Report Access for Students

Updated on December 9, 2024

Overview

Students can now generate Turnitin reports on their assignments before final submission, giving them a chance to review originality. Institutions can control whether students have access to this feature.

Enabling Student Access to Turnitin Reports

Navigate to Advanced Configurations> Third Party Integrations> Turnitin Integration. Turn ON the Display report to students switch and press Save.

If the switch is turned Off, only teachers can generate Turnitin reports. In this case, Students won’t have access to this feature.

Using the Turnitin Report as a Student

Log in to the student portal and navigate to the Assessments > Assignments section.

Open your Assignment and upload your file. Save it as Draft and when you reopen it the Turnitin report will run for your file. You can run the report multiple times before submitting your assignment for grading.

Viewing Results
:

Once the report is ready, you’ll be able to view the similarity score and flagged content directly within the assignment window. The similarity score ranges from 0% (no matching content) to 100% (completely identical content). Use this feedback to make any necessary adjustments before submitting your assignment for grading.
