Updated on February 3, 2025

2 min to read

The “My Subjects” menu has been added to the teacher’s mobile app under the “Teaching” section. This new feature allows teachers to efficiently manage and view details about the subjects they teach, supervise, or are otherwise associated with. Below is a detailed explanation of how this new functionality works:

Accessing the “My Subjects” Menu

Getting started with “My Subjects” is simple:

  • Open the teacher’s mobile app.
  • Navigate to the “Teaching” section.
  • Tap on the “My Subjects” menu to view a list of all subjects you are connected to.

Features of the “My Subjects” Menu

Subject List

  • This section displays all the subjects you are linked to, whether you are:
    • Teaching the subject.
    • Supervising students.
    • Involved in a related role (e.g., reviewing or assisting).

  • To help distinguish roles, supervisors are clearly marked with an icon next to the subject name. Additionally, each subject includes quick links to:
    • “About” – General subject details.
    • “Roster” – List of students and teachers connected to the subject.

Filters:

To quickly find specific subjects, you can refine your list using:

  • Timetable Categories (if enabled).
  • Subjects Based on Your Role (teaching, supervising, or reviewing).

  • Enrollment Status (e.g., instructor, assistant, or other roles).

Roster Details:

  • You can now see all students associated with each subject, neatly categorized as:
      1. Teach: Students in groups you teach.
      2. Supervise: Students where you are the subject supervisor.
      3. Roster: Students outside your groups but still associated with the subject.

  • Additionally, you can view other teachers involved in the subject, depending on the school’s privacy settings.

Editing Subjects:

If you have the necessary permissions, you can:

  • Edit subject details, including Basic Data, About, and Online Enrollment Information.

  • Use rich text editing and upload images to enhance subject descriptions.
  • Make language-specific edits, with the interface defaulting to your logged-in language.

Additional Actions:

For more control and information, you can:

  • Tap on a subject to access more details.
  • Supervisors can view and manage tools specific to their assigned subjects.

Overall, this update mirrors the student app’s functionality while adding teacher-specific tools to simplify subject management. It provides a centralized and intuitive way for teachers to handle their teaching responsibilities
