Can I invalidate signed documents in Classter?

Updated on October 14, 2025

< 1 min to read

Yes. Even if a document has been fully signed, Classter allows you to mark it as Invalid/Obsolete. This ensures that if circumstances change (for example, a financial arrangement price update), older signed agreements remain visible for audit purposes but cannot be used as valid agreements anymore.

Can I bulk invalidate documents?

Yes. A new bulk action “Invalidate Request” is available in the Signature List.

  • Selecting this will mark all related signature commands under a case as invalid.
  • A confirmation dialog ensures you approve the action before it is applied.

Can invalidated requests be re-sent?

No. The Resend action is disabled for any request marked as invalid. Instead, the system generates a new updated request automatically when needed (e.g., after a price change).

Which signature systems support this feature?

  • Classter Embedded Signatures – invalidation works directly inside Classter.
  • LegalSign / DocuSign – when invalidated, Classter also sends a cancellation request to the external system, archiving the request.
