This guide introduces new fields and enhancements to the Educational Program, designed to improve filtering, bulk editing, and data management during program transitions. With these updates, users can manage programs more efficiently and access these features directly from the Educational Program grid in the Classter portal.
New Educational Program Custom Fields:
- 2 Single Select Drop Boxes
- 2 Date Pickers
- 2 Checkboxes
- 2 Free Text Fields
How to Enable the Fields
Navigation:
Go to Configuration > Main Settings > Customize Terminology > Educational Program Tab.
Configuration:
Click on any field block to configure its settings.
- Culture – Select the language for the field.
- Active – Activate or deactivate the field.
- Is Searchable (Large Data) – Makes the field searchable; it initially loads only selected values and retrieves matching options dynamically as users’ type, enhancing performance for large datasets.
- Main Terminology – The primary name of the field; you can define this.
- Plural Terminology – A secondary, pluralized name for the field.
- Info – Add a description explaining the purpose of this field.
- Category – Preconfigured on the relevant dropdown list and used to classify the field.
- List Entries – Preconfigured options for dropdown fields, defined by your institution.
Note: 7 & 8 do not appear in the Date, Check and Text field type.
Save Configuration:
Always click Save after making changes.
Where to locate the fields
Student List
You can view the fields by navigating to Students > Student List > Student per Educational Programs View.
Click Advanced Filters to see the new fields. Scroll down if needed to view all fields.
Student Form
The new custom fields are accessible in the Student Form under the Educational Programs section.
When adding a new Educational Program, a popup window will appear where these fields can be filled out.
