Classroom availability check

This feature ensures that the classroom you choose for a session is available at the desired time, preventing double bookings. It checks the availability of classrooms for both individual and bulk actions like Mass Import or Timetable Creation, offering alternative rooms if the selected one is occupied.

 

  • In the Session Creation form and Weekly Session Management, an icon allows you to check the availability of the selected classroom. If the room is taken, it also suggests other available rooms.
  • On Classroom Booking, when selecting a classroom, if the room is unavailable, the system provides a list of alternative classrooms that are free for the same time. 
  • In Mass Import and Create from Timetable, a “Classroom Availability” button is added. When clicked, it checks the availability of each classroom, including recurring sessions, and highlights any overlaps with a warning icon. If there’s a conflict, you can click the icon to see a tooltip that lists the dates and times when the classroom is unavailable. This allows you to either change the classroom or select another time for the session.

 

Example:

 

In the Session List, select Mass Import Sessions from the Actions button.

Once you complete filling out the rows for import, click on the Check Classroom Availability button.

The system highlights any problematic classrooms in red. Additionally, an information message displays all conflicts.

Since the sessions may be recurring, the conflicts only occur on specific dates. The system provides details on the exact dates where the overlap happens.

 

 

The same button or corresponding icon (image below) is also added in All the other screens listed above.
