This guide will help you understand how financial periods are connected to academic periods, new configuration options, and how these changes affect creating and managing arrangements. Designed for simple users, it explains how to use the system effectively.
Privileges
If you don’t have the privilege to view financial periods:
- Financial period columns and filters will not be visible.
- Data for installments with existing financial periods will still be preserved when saving.
Auto-Selection of Financial Periods
New Setting:
Finacial settings > Arrangement parameters > New Arrangement Settings > Auto selection of financial period for all installments when an arrangement is created.
- Disable: No automatic selection. Dropdowns remain empty.
- Pay Date: Select Financial period based on the installment payment date.
- Arrangement Plan Properties:
- Custom plans: Select the top financial period with current dates and academic period.
- Predefined plans: Use the preselected financial period from the arrangement plan.

Financial Periods and Academic Periods Connection
- What it Means: Academic periods are now connected to financial periods
- Where to Find It: In Financial Settings > Dropdown lists > Financial period dropdown, you’ll see a new field for selecting academic periods.
New Features in Financial Period Dropdown
Academic Periods Selection:
- A new multiselect dropdown lets you choose active academic periods.
- Important: This field is required. You cannot save without selecting academic periods.
Overlapping Dates Warning:
- Financial periods can overlap, you will see a warning:
“There is an overlapping of dates with Financial Period [XXXX]. Do you want to continue?”
Configuring Arrangement Plans
Easy Creation – Disabled
Navigate to Financial Settings > Dropdown lists > Arrangement Plan > Details (see Image 1) > New Field: For each installment, you’ll see a dropdown to select a “Financial Period.”
- This dropdown lists all active financial periods. (Images 2 &3 below)
Easy Creation – Enabled
New Settings:
- Number of Financial Periods: Choose how many financial periods (1–6).
- Editable Financial Periods: Decide if financial periods are editable in installment analysis.
- Advanced Options (if more than one financial period):
- Percentage for each financial period (e.g., Period 1: 50%).
- Extra Amount for periods other than the first.
- Enable prepayments/deposits for later financial periods.
Financial Arrangement Creation
Financial periods will always be preselected when creating arrangements. If a financial period value is missing, it is calculated during the Calculate Arrangement process:
- Based on the first setting:
- Disabled: No calculation or dropdowns.
- Pay Date: Follows the payment date logic.
- Arrangement Plan Properties: Uses predefined rules for custom or predefined plans.
