Here, you specify whether the mark will be displayed to students before the assessment due date.
Example
The current date is 08/02/2022
An assessment will be created which expires on 10/02/2022, as shown below
The Students will be marked
Setting -> Active
The Student cannot see his/her marks until the assessment deadline
Setting -> Inactive
The Student sees his/her received marks on the assessment regardless of the deadline
