How to create applications without creating an applicant login account?

Updated on May 23, 2022

Classter provides you with the option to create applications without following the admission process through the Sign-up form. This can prove useful in cases when an organization allows the candidates to either apply online or directly by person. In the second case the back-office employees will have to create the user manually in the system. This requirement is met in Classter by having an application automatically created when a student is created.

To enable this functionality the user must configure the Application Auto-Creation tab in CONFIGURATION > Admission > Admission Settings. (Figure 1)

Figure 1

The “Enable Automatically Creation of Application in Student Creation” setting when checked, will auto-create an application every time a student is created into the system.
The “Enable Automatically Creation of Application in Student Edit” setting when checked, will auto-create an application every time a student is edited into the system.
Whether the first, the second or both settings are active or not depends on each organization’s needs.

The Default Application Intake, Default Application Type and Default Application Category settings must be configured for the automatic creation to be possible.

More information on the Application Auto-Creation tab’s settings can be found here.

When these settings are configured, Applications for students will be automatically created when creating or editing them.
