What This Setting Does
This setting controls whether the _Teacher_ (Educator) currently assigned to a _Student_’s _Subject_ is shown to Parents in the parent-facing views of the portal, for example alongside _Subject_ or class information.
Where It Is Used
This setting runs automatically with no dedicated screen of its own. It applies wherever the portal shows enrolled _Teacher_ information to Parents, such as in a _Student_’s _Subject_ or class details.
Business Logic / Behavior
- The default value is enabled (True), so enrolled _Teacher_ information is shown to Parents.
- When turned off, the names of enrolled Teachers are hidden from Parent-facing views.
- The setting only affects what Parents see; it does not change what Teachers, Students, or school staff can see.
Example(s)
Alpha Institute keeps this setting enabled. When parent Maria D. views her daughter’s _Subject_ ‘Mathematics’ in the portal, the assigned _Teacher_, Mr. Panagiotis R., is shown as the enrolled Teacher for that _Subject_. If the administrator disables the setting, Maria would see the _Subject_ information without any Teacher name attached.
When to Use
When to Enable
Enable when the institution wants Parents to know which _Teacher_ is responsible for each of their child’s Subjects, supporting transparency and making it easier for Parents to know who to contact.
When to Disable
Disable when the institution prefers not to expose _Teacher_ identities directly to Parents, for example for privacy reasons or to route communication through the school office instead of individual Teachers.
